For many women working part time is a necessity to back up their partner’s income, for some women it pays for the little luxuries in life, while for others it enables them to be independent. There are also many women who find part time work the only way to look after the family and make ends meet. The present climate is one of rising costs with ever increasing prices on fuel, utility bills and food, with only the very wealthy not feeling the pinch. This had led to more women working part time, however there are often drawbacks and many employers put higher demands on women, forcing them to work longer hours and often more unsociable hours.
